Video game rating is done by the Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB)  which is located in New York, United States. The game rating had been great assistance so far in easy sorting of games. Games are rated according to their video quality and content. There are certain standards used to determine the rating of a game. In some cases, good games are rated low, not because they are not of good qualities, but because they are not up to the standards of rating. Some of those games are later rated high by review and speculations on sites and other boards. Top-rated games are rated high because they are up to the standards of the Rating Board agency.
